A WINSFORD man who has completed a 1,000 mile fundraising challenge for St Luke’s Hospice is all set for one last mammoth effort – running four marathons in four days.

RAF aircraft engineer, Ricky Houston, was featured in the Guardian earlier in the year where he told readers about his challenge.

He ran for St Luke's in memory of his auntie, Karen, who lost her fight against cancer in 2008.

But after completing it, he is thirsty for more and will finish off his year of running with one last impressive effort.

He will set off from Lincoln on Thursday, October 30, tomorrow, and run four marathons in four days, arriving at St Luke's between 2.30pm and 4m on Sunday, November 2.

"I was so relieved it was all over and received a lot of donations for completing the challenge but I already had in my head this was not the end," he said.

"So I finally confirmed that I am going to run from Lincoln Cathedral on October 30 and run just over a marathon a day for four days completing the entire challenge at St Luke's Cheshire Hospice with my friends and family and all the local community that have been inspired by what I have done for such an amazing cause."
