FOOTBALLERS from Winsford High Street Primary School have scored competition success.
Over two Fridays schools from across Winsford took part in a year 5/6 football seven-a-side competition at Winsford Academy.
Ten boys from Winsford High Street Primary represented their school and were looking to defend their title.
The first Friday saw them win both their matches, leaving them in second place in the table.
The following Friday the boys took part in another three matches. They again won all their matches, meaning they won overall.
They have progressed to the next stage, where they will play schools from around Cheshire at Crewe Alexandra in January.
On October 16 nine year 5/6 girls from the school travelled to Winsford Academy to take part in a town football competition.
They won all their matches, 2-0, 4-0 and 4-0, with Amy Wallis scoring six goals.
The victories saw the girls progress to the next round and represent Winsford in the Vale Royal competition at Moss Farm on November 9.
