A REWARD of up to £2,000 is being offered for information on the whereabouts of a man wanted in connection with a series of sexual assaults of a child.

Independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers is appealing to Cheshire residents after Neil Jackson, believed to have carried out a number of sexual assaults, was last seen in Chester in November.

Jackson, who has links with Macclesfield and Chester, is wanted for several incidents including rape of an 11-year-old girl.

The offences came to light back in 2001 when Jackson was living in the Derbyshire town - he disappeared the following day when it is believed that he may have flown to Alicante in Spain.

In November 2015, a former colleague believes that he saw Jackson shopping in Chester city centre.

Crimestoppers is now offering a reward of up to £2,000 for information that leads to his arrest.

Gary Murray, regional manager for Crimestoppers, said: “Jackson has caused immense distress to a young child. He has already been on the run for far too long, potentially putting other children at risk, which is why it is imperative that he is caught soon.

“There are people out there who know where he is and I would urge you to contact Crimestoppers anonymously through our 0800 555 111 number or anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.

“We don’t take personal information, we don’t record calls and we can’t trace calls or information given online. No-one will ever know you contacted us.”

Jackson is described as still looking very similar to his passport photo (pictured), but wore a beanie or flat hat when he was spotted in Chester. He has a number of tattoos on his left arm and back, including his own name.

His profile is currently listed on Crimestoppers’ Most Wanted website crimestoppers-uk.org/most-wanted.

If he is still in this country then it most likely that he will be living under a new identity.
