A WINSFORD primary school was evacuated after smoke was seen coming out of a server room.
Emergency services were called to Oaklands School in Montgomery Way today just before 2.30pm.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the cause of the fire was a light fitting. No one was injured during the incident.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “A school was evacuated after smoke was found in a server room.
“The area was checked with a thermal imaging camera and a light fitting was found to be the cause.”
