HER 'simple joys in life' video put smiles on the faces of millions of people at the weekend.

And after Texas mum Candace Payne revealed in the film the reason for her massive grin was a Chewbacca mask that made the same sounds as the Star Wars character, the toy has quickly flown off the shelves of stores in the UK.

Tesco, Toys 'R' Us and Argos all appear to be completely sold out of the item after Candace's video received more than 3.1million shares and reached more than 140million views breaking the record for the most watched Facebook Live video ever.

The new internet sensation, who also appeared this week on James Corden's The Late Late Show, commented on Facebook: "Today has been a whirlwind.

"I'm grateful for every kind word and comment even if I haven't replied.

"Let's keep belly laughing again and again.

"Never imagined finding my 'simple joy' would land me more VIEWS on a little FB video than Mark Zuckerberg has followers. INSANE. Find your 'simple joy!"

But for those now being mithered by their kids for the giggle inducing garment, fear not as stores have promised it will be back in stock soon.

A Tesco Direct spokesman added the mask should be back in stock on Monday.

A Toys 'R' Us spokesman said: “Further orders have been placed this week due to the outstanding demand following Candice Payne's Facebook video.

"Stock is already in transit and will be available to order again this Saturday.”
