WINSFORD charity the Neuromuscular Centre has been awarded an accessible vehicle from the Department of Transport’s national community transport scheme.
NMC operates a small transport fleet made up of accessible vehicles which enable members of its community to independently access NMC's specialist services.
NMC, based in Woodford Lane West, is the centre of excellence for people with Muscular Dystrophy (MD), providing a range of services including physiotherapy, supported employment and training as well as support and advice to hundreds of people across Cheshire.
Antoinette Sandbach, MP for Eddisbury, visited NMC to see the vehicle in action.
She said: "I'm delighted that the Department for Transport-funded buses have been delivered to NMC. They will make such a huge difference to those with neuromuscular conditions accessing the expertise, support and opportunities provided by NMC."
