A GROUP of Maasai Warriors will trade Kenya for Winsford next month when they bring their authentic tribal songs and dance to St Chad’s Church.

St Chad’s, in Swanlow Lane, will host the event on Thursday, September 29 with the Maasai Warriors who will also be showcasing their famous Maasai jumping.

Working with a small UK charity called Osiligi Charity Projects, the 2016 UK tour will raise money to help Maasai families at home out of poverty through education, health and clean water initiatives.

A spokesman for St Luke’s Hospice said: “The evening is presented by St Chad’s Church and St Luke’s Hospice with all profits shared by the Maasai and the hospice, thus serving both international and local communities.

“Objectives for the Osiligi Charity this year are to complete work on an orphanage, and to subsidise a newly built clinic so that more people can receive health care at a very low cost.”

The performance starts at 7.30pm and tickets are priced at £8 for an adult, £5 for a child and with family tickets at £20 for two adults and two children.

Tickets are available from St Luke’s Hospice on 01606 551246 or from St Chad’s Church on 01606 593222.
