Firefighters and rescue team called to barge stuck in muddy Winsford Flashes
FIREFIGHTERS and a rescue unit had to be called to help a barge at Winsford Flashes that had got stuck in mud.
A fire engine from Winsford Fire Station and a rescue unit from Knutsford were sent to the flashes at the bottom of Stocks Hill at 5.15pm on Wednesday, September 21.
Firefighters went into the water and managed to get the barge out of the mud. There are no reports of any injuries.
