Officers are holding surgeries each Monday between 3pm and 4pm in Sandiway Library.

The intention is to foster a firm relationship between the villagers and the forces of law and order. They want residents to come along and chat about anything that is on your mind.

Insp Rob Woodward is the officer who helped launch the pilot. He is currently seconded to Cheshire County Council as a partnership development officer.

He said: "This is a move to ensure local people have easy and regular access to policing services on a face-to-face level.

"We recognise some people are reticent or too intimidated to come to a police station to report their concerns and we wanted to do something to help address this."

PCSO Adam Norton will be on hand to chat.
