A TRUSTEE treasurer has retired from the memorial hall after years of dedicated service.
John Ellis was presented with an inscribed tankard, a certificate of merit and photo mementos from the trustees.
John was involved in building the new hall and is calling on others to take up the challenge.
He said: "The hall is in a very strong financial position, has the full backing of the parish council and the users in the village.
"It is a hall fit for the 21st century."
