Guardian Best of 2023: Which of these six burgers tops the rest?

Which is your favourite place to go for a delicious burger – meat-based or plant-based - topped with cheese, lettuce and tomato, and ketchup and mayonnaise?

In our Best of 2023 campaign, we’ve given out 18 awards so far in Mid Cheshire for hair, nails and beauty as well as tattoos and independent shops and businesses and many more.

Next up we wanted to find Mid Cheshire’s tastiest burgers.

After reading all your nominations, we’ve shortlisted the top six, who will battle it out to be named Best for Burgers 2023.

Now we need your help to choose an overall winner from our shortlist.

Don’t forget to pick up a copy of this week’s Mid Cheshire Guardian as the coupons inside count for five votes!

There are three ways to vote:

1. Search for the Best for Burgers post on our Mid Cheshire Guardian Facebook or Twitter pages and comment under the post with the name of your winner = 1 vote

2. Name your favourite in the comments section on this article via our website = 2 votes

3. Purchase a copy of this week’s Northwich and Winsford Guardian or Knutsford Guardian (August 24 edition) and fill in the entry form = 5 votes

Cafe at Plumleys

Café at Plumleys, Plumleys Garden Centre, Plumley More Road, Knutsford

Visitors to this café say they “have fantastic burgers”.

They have weekly specials with an August one featuring minted lamb patties stacked with lettuce, tomato, halloumi and homemade tzatziki served with lemon and herb topped fries and house coleslaw.

Hartford Hall

Hartford Hall, School Lane, Northwich

There are two burgers on the menu to tempt tastebuds at Hartford Hall on School Lane – the cheese and bacon burger and the Bourbon BBQ chicken burger.

The cheese and bacon burger is topped with cheddar cheese, smoked streaky bacon, tomato and caramelised onion chutney and the chicken burger is topped with Bourbon BBQ sauce.
